Kids spend quite a bit of time indoors during the holidays. Coloring is an inexpensive indoor activity they can enjoy. Here are two sources of free printable Christmas coloring pages.
Free Christmas Coloring Pages for Kids Plus Online Coloring Book
The Free Coloring Pages website offers over forty Christmas designs. Each one is labeled “Page X – Name of Design.” To access each coloring page, click on the corresponding page number. A page displaying the image will open. The picture can then be printed with an advertisement from the print menu or without the advertisement by clicking directly on the image. Find a selection of classic holiday coloring images at this website, including angels, Santa Claus, candy canes, the North Pole, reindeer, presents, Christmas trees, snowmen, and elves.
Below the last coloring page is a link to an online coloring book with fourteen different designs. When the online Christmas Coloring Book is selected, the viewer is shown a Santa image with a color palette that can be used to color the image online. This activity is simple – just select a color and click on the part of the image where that color should go. That portion of the image will fill with the chosen color. No printing or clean up is required for this activity!
Christmas Printables on the Colorbook Website: Large Coloring Sheets
Another source for great coloring sheets is the Colorbook website. This site offers 11 simple Christmas coloring pages for kids. To print a design, first click on the image to enlarge it, then use the internet browser print feature. Each coloring sheet image will fill approximately two-thirds of an 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper when printed at full size.
The following Christmas images are offered: an elf, five Santa Clauses, a Christmas tree, a candle, a snowman, Christmas flowers, and bells with holly. Each design is simple enough for the youngest child, but detailed enough to keep the attention of an older one.
This website is not just for Christmas printables. There are nearly 150 printable sheets on the website among 20 categories ranging from Valentine’s Day to Halloween. Other categories include sports, cars, trucks, planes, animals, stuffed animals and teddy bears.
