The Kids EveryWear sale is well-known in the Raleigh area. It’s a children’s consignment sale started by two stay-at-home moms, Gail Walker and Beth Pendola, in 1998 as a way of recycling their children’s clothing and giving back to the community. Thousands of local families are able to purchase children’s clothing at discount prices twice a year through this sale, and the owners donate a portion of revenue to charitable organizations.
Raleigh, NC Area Kids Consignment Sale: When Is It? Where Is It?

Tips for Shopping at the Kids EveryWear Children’s Consignment Sale
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when planning a trip to the Kids EveryWear sale:
- Shoppers should expect a crowd at most times, but a surprisingly quick checkout process. This sale typically employs a high number of volunteers at all times and checkout lines move quickly in comparison to the lines at many other Raleigh area kids consignment sales.
- Shopping carts are not available. Some shoppers bring little wagons with handles or laundry baskets with bungee cords attached. Strollers also make for convenient shopping carts.
- Kids are welcome, but they may become restless long before moms or dads are ready to leave. If at all possible, it’s a good idea to leave children at home. With so much merchandise to peruse, someone can easily expect to spend two or three hours at this sale. Young children will undoubtedly run out of steam before the shopping trip is over.
Prospective shoppers should also note that the sale is located in three different empty storefronts at the Morrisville Outlet Mall, but those stores are not side by side. One store will be devoted primarily to clothing items from wall to wall; another will contain toys, books, kids furniture, bedding, decorations, and equipment. The third storefront will house infant necessities such as strollers, cribs, bouncy seats, diaper bags, plus feeding and safety items.
Best Finds at Kids EveryWear: Newborn Baby Clothes & Home School Curricula
Most moms know that it’s easy to over buy items for a newborn baby. If the mother, herself, doesn’t do the splurging, well-intentioned friends and family may be guilty of showering the new baby with gifts. At the Kids EveryWear children’s consignment sale, the newborn section is typically stocked with never-worn baby clothes; tags are often still attached! Frugal moms-to-be can rack up on brand new baby clothes at this sale for considerably less than retail price.
Because the sale’s founders are home schoolers, they’ve devoted a portion of the sale to home schooling curricula and materials. Raleigh area home schooling families can find current and past edition home school materials in the following categories, for example:
- Math books
- Globes and children’s literature
- Geography, history, and foreign language learning materials
