Kids get to choose their favorites from among four choices in each of the eighteen categories below. Of course, all of the nominees are kid-appropriate choices; many actors star in Nickelodeon programs, and other nominees are Disney-related or otherwise well known to kids. To illustrate the kinds of nominees to expect, 2009 nominees are noted below.

How to Vote for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Nick.com/kca
Voting for the nominees is fairly simple. Here are the five steps to follow to cast votes in every category:
- Go to nick.com/kca
- Under the Vote Now! Heading, press “Click here”
- On the resulting landing page, press “Click here to go to the page.” This landing page simply serves as a warning that the voting site may contain advertisements.
- Once you’ve arrived at the main Kids’ Choice Awards website, begin voting by clicking on the green button below your favorite nominee in each category.
- When the green button changes to a check mark inside a star, move on by clicking “Next Category.”
