Grocery Store Coupons in Sunday Newspaper: Red Plum Coupon Insert Schedule

The Southern Savers website has a clean appearance and displays an easy-to-understand upcoming weekly schedule. Here is a link to the 2009 coupon inserts schedule for Red Plum plus Smart Source and Procter & Gamble.

The Grocery Coupon Guide website has the same list with sources cited at the bottom of the page (for Red Source, SmartSource, and Procter & Gamble coupon schedules). This website is fairly easy to navigate; it has a clean design in blog format plus articles on saving money.

2009 RedPlum Coupon Insert Schedules – When There Will Be No Coupons, Extra Inserts in Sunday Newspapers

According to both sources above, there will be six weeks in 2009 when no coupon inserts are distributed in local newspapers across the United States at all (no Red Plum, Smart Source, or P&G). Here are those dates, which coincide with holidays:

  • February 15, 2009 (Valentine’s Day weekend)
  • April 12, 2009 (Easter weekend)
  • May 24, 2009 (Memorial Day weekend)
  • November 29, 2009 (Thanksgiving weekend)
  • December 20, 2009 (Christmas weekend)
  • December 27, 2009 (New Year’s weekend)

Fortunately for grocery store coupon clippers, some weekends there will be extra inserts. For instance, just after New Year’s there were two SmartSource and two RedPlum inserts. The same thing will happen on April 5th, 2009.
