- MI State Tax Returns – Michigan’s Department of Treasury is responsible for the state’s income tax collection and refund issuance. The department offers taxpayers a Where’s My Income Tax Refund? tool online. To access Michigan refund check information, visit the self-service individual income tax section of michigan.gov and click on “Check My Tax and Refund Information.” The state recommends waiting 14 days after e-filing before checking on the status of a Michigan state tax return; for paper returns, the suggested lead time is six weeks.
- OH Tax Refunds – Taxpayers can check Ohio income tax refund information by using the Ohio Department of Taxation’s Where’s My Refund? tool. For security reasons, the website requires taxpayers to input a valid Social Security number and date of birth, then indicate the type of return (income tax or school district) and whether the return was original or amended.
